Make your Photos look Amazing with One Click: Lightroom Presets
E aí, guys? My name is Priscila Elias and today we are talking about how to make your photos look amazing with one click, or more specifically, we are talking about presets.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you might have seen a video I did a couple of months ago talking about if people should use presets or not when editing their photos.
Learn the Basics
Nothing has changed. My opinion is still the same: in order for any presets to look amazing, you need to have at least an idea of what you are doing.
If someone is selling you a preset telling you the opposite, I think they might either be mistaken or trying to fool you.
But if you have a great shot with the perfect exposure and if the dynamic range in your photo is in balance, the presets I will show you WILL look amazing with just ONE click of a button.
If that is not the case, if your photo is not perfectly exposed — and many times they’re not — I will teach you how to make your photos look amazing in a couple of seconds with a few small adjustments by using the presets I created and used myself all throughout 2020 and 2021.
If you watched my latest videos, you know I’ve been doing quite a few thematic photo sessions where I share all about the photo sessions I do: the equipment used, settings, tips to get better shots in each situation, and for that reason I created my first lightroom pack based in some of those themes.
Once you download the Presets Collection, you will unzip the file and you will find three folders inside. The Lightroom Mobile folder, the Lightroom Classic version 7.3 or later folder and the Lightroom 4–6 folder. Depending on the version of Lightroom you have, you will choose the folder to use.
Inside the folder you download with the presets, you will also find a “How To Install” .PDF where I explain in detail how to get your presets installed to Lightroom. The installation process for Lightroom mobile will not be the same as the process you will use for Lightroom Classic 7.3 version or later. It will not be the same for Lightroom 4–6 either. Each of them should be installed in a particular manner and it is not complicated at all.

- Christmas Mood Lightroom Preset
What tones would you picture in your mind when you think of Christmas? Christmas trees, lights, fireplace, marshmallows, gingerbread, hot wine… That’s exactly what I had in mind when I created this preset. It’s moody, warm, cosy and gentle, yet vibrant and cherish!

2. Autumn Vibes Lightroom Preset
This preset will mute up your greens, make them more yellowish, bring up the golden and red tones in your photos. It will make the autumn colours pop in your images.

3. Winter is Coming Lightroom Preset
This preset will make your subject stand out when you take winter photos. It’s intense, creamy and tasteful. It will make your photos more dramatic and vivid and will bring up the details in the snow or whatever you have in your picture with rich highlights and deep muted shadows that will make your photos look more cinematic.

4. Perfect Low Light Lightroom Preset
Perfect Low Light will bring up your shadows and soften your highlights to make your low light photos pop and look more even. Expect very moody, vibrant and intense tones with this preset.

Valentine’s mood has a passionate and intense vibe with delicious tones that will make you fall in love with them. It’s warm and a bit vintage, like the memories you keep inside of a box and go through with the people you love on special occasions every once in a while.

Important note: Because I call a preset Christmas Time, for example, it does not mean that it can only be used for Christmas photos. If you read the description of each of my presets in my store, you will find exactly what to expect of each preset.
Use them for any of your photos!
That's right! Try them out to any of your photos and adjust minor settings such as exposure, highlights, shadows, tint and maybe even a bit with particular colours in the adjustment panel and you will surely be able to have the perfect edit to each of your particular photos in a matter of seconds.
