Autumn is a great time to take some awesome outdoor shots because since the colors of the leaves and the light during good part of the day are so beautiful, you don’t need much to make stunning images!

Not only I will share some nice autumn photo ideas with you but also the settings I used for each one of them.

All of the first set of photos below were taken in one unique sunny afternoon when I decided to walk around a park called Hagaparken in Stockholm, Sweden, that is pretty close to my house. I took the camera with me, the 16–35mm f/2.8 lens, the 85mm f/1.8 lens, my tripod and my cell phone to release the shutter button and control the shooting remotely. I also took an extra blanket to have a different look to some of the photos and that was it! Me, myself and I and open eyes looking for good photo spots.

85mm — 1/400sec at f/1.8, ISO 160
Left: 85mm — 1/1250sec at f/1.8, ISO 100 | Right: 85mm — 1/400 sec at f/1.8, ISO 100.
Both images taken with 85mm — 1/400sec at f/1.8, ISO 160
Left: 16–35mm — 17mm — 1/200sec at f/2.8, ISO 100. | Middle: 85mm — 1/400sec at f/1.8, ISO 160. | Right: 85mm — 1/320sec at f/1.8, ISO 160
Left: 85mm at 1/320sec at f/1.8, ISO 160 | Right: 85mm — 1/400 sec at f/1.8, ISO 100.
Left: 85mm — 1/400 sec at f/1.8, ISO 100. | Right: 85mm — 1/400 sec at f/1.8, ISO 160.

The next photos were taken in 2018 and 2019 during some portrait sessions I made for different people.

16–35mm at 24mm — 1/320sec at f/14, ISO 100 + Speedlight.
Left: 16–35mm at 29mm — 1/100sec at f/6.3, ISO 100. | Right: 50mm — 1/2000sec at f/1.8, ISO 160
50mm — 1/800sec at f/3.2, ISO 100
Left: 50mm — 1/1250sec at f/1.8, ISO 160 | Right: 50mm — 1/2000sec at f/1.8, ISO 160
50mm — 1/160sec at f/2.8, ISO 320

I hope you enjoyed the photos and I that they inspire you to go out there and shoot beautiful autumn shots.
